Russia is a region where new IT and telecommunication technologies have arrived and developed very fast – Russia has, for example, one of the highest rates of new telecommunication channel development worldwide. As a result, the country’s IT infrastructure provides criminals with an effective platform from which to disseminate cyberattacks. As a result, organizations operating in Russia encounter DDoS attacks more often than those doing business in other regions. Therefore, implementing DDoS protection is a must for Russian companies dealing with online customer interfaces. In the short term, they should also aim to implement specific solutions e.g. anti targeted attack, cloud and mobile security.
