Calculate your company's security profile

This is the ultimate guide to the cost of IT security. Select the details that match your company to see the average budgets your industry peers spend on IT security (by region, industry, size), what security measures they take, the major threat vectors they encounter, how much money they lose as a result, and what you can do to avoid being compromised. The Calculator has been created as an adjustable tool. The data presented can be updated and/or added to over time based on insights from customers and Kaspersky.

Recommendations

The LATAM region is one of world’s the fastest growing economies, and has seen a parallel growth in information technology. An increasing number of individuals and businesses are able to access IT and telecommunication technologies here, often without always fully understanding how to protect themselves effectively. So it's not a big surprise that Latin American companies are seeing a much higher rate of electronic leakages committed by their staff than other regions. Cybercriminals are aware of this situation and believe the region offers them multiple opportunities to launch successful and readily monetized attacks. Our advice to LATAM businesses is to concentrate on not only which IT and IT security solutions should be implemented – but also on how this should be done, and the levels of security awareness that must be reached in order to ensure everyone’s protection. We recommend these businesses increase the attention they pay to cybersecurity services and security awareness training. We also recommend the use of an advanced endpoint protection platform as a core part of their IT security strategy.

*These statistics are based on results from an online survey of 4,474 business representatives from companies with up to 4,999 employees around the world, conducted in 2019 by Kaspersky and B2B International. Statistics based on less than 30 respondents should be used with caution, due to this being a low base.
